“If we are to make this a better world in which to live, as a Healthy, Happy, and Loving human being, we’ve got to make a U-Turn and rediscover our values and gifts of the inner mind, who we really are, and where we come from. The love, peace, joy, wisdom, and purity which we have been born with have been left behind in this modern life style.” –Raman K. Pathik author and founder of “The Simple Solution”
Our world is ailing. People’s minds are full of greed, ego, attachment, lust, and anger, creating fear, stress, and chaos in their lives. Consumerism and self-gain is polluting our planet, destroying our natural environment, leading humanity on a dead-end path.
What do we need to make this a better world and to manifest our human rights of being a healthy, happy, and loving person? Wherever we are in our life, with our mind in the past or future, at any age, in stress or in fear, or in a chaotic environment filled with greed, ego, attachment, lust, and anger, we have to make a U-Turn to go back, NOT all the way to the childhood age, or birth, but only to the mindful present moment. I call this “the power of here.” Author Eckhart Tolle calls it “The Power of Now.”
We’ve got to rediscover our precious values and gifts that we’ve been born with, but have left behind, in this current way of living. Our values and gifts of the inner mind are who we really are, when looking from our child’s eye and where we come from with love, peace, joy, wisdom, and purity.
The power of here is the mindfulness of the present moment of a new born child. It’s the Meditation of Buddha, the self-sufficiency and non-violence of Mahatma Gandhi, it’s the spirituality of Jesus, Mohammad, and other spiritual teachers. The present moment is the inner and outer minds in a balanced and parallel state. To move forward we have to use both the inner and outer mind, like walking with both feet, balanced and parallel at the same time.
. The present moment is mindfulness of: a beautiful sunrise and sunset, shining stars in the dark sky, the quietness of fresh wind blowing, silence between our breath, hugs of people, birds singing, the beauty of nature. It is living beings, caring and sharing with others, children playing and experiencing all the wonders of nature, people working in the fields, or at the job, families eating a home cooked dinner together, singing, dancing, gardening, playing games, painting, imaging, sensing, finding solutions, playing music, and using our gifts, skills and talents to produce products and services to help others. It is the stillness of the mind that makes you smile, makes you sensible, creative, stress free, and sacred, it creates inner strength, produces solutions, and brings satisfaction and contentment and joy.
Children are a wonderful example of mindfulness and the power of here. They do not live in the past or future; they are here, now. It is achievable for all of us to breathe like a baby; breathe out (exhalation) to remove toxic gases, energy and thoughts from our bodies. We can relearn to breathe like during scuba diving or singing and in free play in a natural environment.
We are born as free spirits with the gift of unconditional love, peace, joy, wisdom, and purity. This is what we are as human beings.
We are not what we become—what job we have, what country we live in, how much money or prestige we have acquired. We are not what others think of us, but what we think of ourselves. Thoughts are powerful—thoughts can bring much richness into our lives or devastate our minds with worry, fear, and stress.
